Remember that one thing you were told as a child to eat because it was good for you? For Mo (our cofounder) that one thing was the Prickly Pear Cactus.
Growing up in Lebanon, Mo's favorite childhood drink was cactus water, which his Grandma Zahra would juice for him and his four siblings every summer! It was so tasty that they would fight for the last drop. Every. Single. Time.
We met Mo when we first started our careers as healthcare workers, and despite coming from all walks of life, our shared passion for wellness, creativity, and entrepreneurship led us to become fast friends! Little did we know... the mighty cactus would change our lives forever.
The Sip Of A Lifetime
Twenty years later, Mo was shopping at our local market when he saw a pile of Prickly Pears. Bursting with nostalgia, he knew he had to recreate Grandma's recipe.
Lucky for us, Mo decided to share a taste of home. The fresh cactus waters came in this gorgeous light pink color, and was so light and refreshing - tasting like a mix of Watermelon + Bubblegum!
Native to the Americas (it’s on the flag of Mexico), the Prickly Pear is the superfruit of the desert, and has been a cultural icon and staple in medicine, food, and drinks for centuries.
